As a mother of four, I’ve had a lot of jobs: wife, nurse, homeschool teacher, sales director, Christian school teacher, soccer coach, avid home gardener, ballet mom, swim mom. You name it, I can probably fit it in. I am no different than all the other mom’s of pre, mid, and college teens (soon to be 20’s!), I just took a minute to write down what I was thinking about while I drove the kids around today.

In this blog journal I’ve shared spiritual insights on faith, our relationship with Christ the Lord, things I’ve learned about being a wife, a mother, and a daughter.  I hope some of my experiences will be a help to you or someone you know.  Welcome to my blog.

Why “Mama Monty?”

I know; it’s a funny name. It began when our daughter was on a team with too many Katies. (I swear we didn’t know ANY when we named her!) She adopted the nickname “Monty”, shortened from our last name. Since I was always on the field or driving to games, chaperoning, or whatever, I was given the title Mama Monty, and it stuck. My own children still use it to get my attention when I don’t hear, “Mom” in the crowd.
